It is with great pleasure that Lake Nissan announce that the Nissan
Pathfinder has been awarded Overlander Magazine’s prestigious “4WD of the Year”
award for 2010.
Competing in a tough field that included Mitsubishi
Challenger, Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara and Jeep Grand Cherokee, the Pathfinder
emerged in 1st place, scoring 194 points from the judging panel. This is the
first win for Nissan in the Overlander awards for more than 20 years, and a true
testament of the potential of the new Pathfinder.
The vehicle tested was
a Pathfinder ST-L diesel automatic, with its upgraded 2.5 litre engine boasting
increased power and torque, as well as significant upgrades to specification
including six airbags, leather seat trim, and many more creature comforts. The
judges were very impressed with the new upgrades, new engine and Pathfinder’s
off-road ability, which they tested in very trying and muddy conditions that
took them from Sydney to the Victorian High Country.
